As a result of the project, a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge was built over the Vilnia River, becoming a key connection between the historic Užupis district and the newly developed Paupys area. This bridge not only improved access for pedestrians and cyclists but also became a distinctive architectural highlight in a prestigious part of the city.
Along with the bridge, comfortable pedestrian paths, stairways, and accessible ramps were installed, designed to accommodate the steep slope using advanced slope reinforcement solutions. The entire surrounding area was also upgraded, including the installation of a children’s playground. This project not only ensured safe and convenient movement for residents and visitors but also blended harmoniously into the city’s urban landscape, contributing to the overall improvement of local infrastructure.
